Hey, I'm Jessica (aka Messica):

I’m the founder & CEO of Mess In Progress. I’m a proud boy mama of 2 babes, Grayson & Hudson, one chinweenie named Larry, & wifey. I’m a fitness trainer & nutrition coach who dedicated herself in supporting moms in every stage of motherhood and feeling strong AF in her evolving mom bod. I specialize in pre & postnatal fitness with multiple certifications, as well as many other certifications within the fitness & wellness industry as well. 

Life Before The Mess:

Background

Prior to Mess In Progress, I was a high school math teacher for 5 years, as well as a Miami-Dade Teach For America corp member. I loved teaching, but the profession sadly burnt me out quickly. However, I was happy that I was able to translate the skills I had gained through teaching to helping clients understand the reasoning behind their movement patterns. I strive to help as many people as I can to be comfortable & strong in their own skin by moving efficiently and focusing on getting stronger rather than smaller💪🏽

Your Girl is...

New Jersey raised, went to college at UC Santa Barbara, and got her masters at Johns Hopkins University in Secondary Education. I’ve put in the reps over the last decade teaching yoga, personal training clients, & coaching group fitness classes at many different studios. One thing I had noticed that was missing in the fitness industry over the past decade were programs for both pregnant & postpartum mamas, especially those that still continued to challenge these moms in the right ways rather than either staying on the side of caution with doing the bare minimum, or ridiculous HIIT workouts that were unnecessary for anyone in this stage of motherhood. As a busy mom myself, I try to encourage others to integrate movement with a healthy lifestyle and food choices not only for themselves, but even more importantly, for your children’s sakes as well.

Jessica is hands down the best trainer out there! I HATE working out and she makes it fun and enjoyable! She makes the workouts very customizable to your specific wants/needs. She is also very mindful of any injuries. I see her in person but her app makes its so easy to do the workouts on your own. She lists every workout along with a video to show the exact workout. My body has 100% changed for the better since I started with her. She really cares about her clients and it shows in the results both physically and mentally. I| would highly recommend her!

I have been searching for a trainer who can explain proper form with patience and understanding. For someone who pushes you to do better without shaming you. I am so grateful to have found Jessica. She customizes her training to accomodate anyone's lifestyle and schedule. Counting macros allows me to eat what I want, I eat mostly healthy, but without having to crave foods that are considered cheating e.g. mini m&m's and an oreo! My body is already changing and don't be afraid to lift weights. It hasn't created any bulking, just toning!! HIRE HER!! Your body will thank you!! And so will your self-esteem!
